Kris Gregson Moss / Moss on the Hill
Artist and Teacher
Kris looks at color, movement, form, and negative space differently from most fabric artists or art quilters She has exhibited nationally and internationally. She examines the tiniest parts of nature from all directions; the inside out as well as the outside in. At times her eye and sewing skills translate the vision into a three-dimensional work of art, a bit of jewelry or a curved abstraction of the object in a wall piece, and sometimes the work is more realistic. She has been juried into Quilts=Art=Quilts, Tactile Architecture, Fiber Focus, 150 years of Adirondack Quilts at the Adirondack Museum, The View (Old Forge, New York) and the Aullwood Audubon Center. Her work is publicly displayed in shows featuring the Adirondack Regional Textile Artists Alliance, ARTAA, Artisan Trails in Washington County’s Countywide event in her personal studio, Moss on the Hill, 145 Everett’s Heights Way, in Granville, New York. Her work may be seen at Valley Artisans Market in Cambridge NY and in the McKernon Gallery in Hudson Falls, NY and has been shown both individually and with the following groups: Fiber Revolution and ARTAA.
