Judith Ellers / Whipple City Square
Judith Ellers is a multi-disciplined artist with studios in Washington and Otsego counties, New York. She has returned to her roots to continue her artistic career after twenty years teaching at Rochester Institute of Technology and the University of South Carolina. The call of the region is strong and serves her well. The natural beauty and sense of history fuels her creativity through her photography, painting, her book making and graphic design work. She is a BFA and MFA graduate in Painting with a minor in Printmaking from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is currently an active member of the Cooperstown Art Association, Cooperstown, NY;East Bank Arts Alliance, Troy, NY; Saratoga Arts, Saratoga Springs, NY; Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council, Glens Falls, NY; and Southern Vermont Arts Center, Manchester, VT. "I cannot remember a time when creating images was not a part of my life. From early crayon drawings, to holding my first camera, to using my first tube of real paint, recording and visually interpreting the surrounding environment has always inspired me."
